To expand academic use of the Daily Herald by providing teachers with curriculum-focused newspaper activities, and by offering periodic demonstrations of effective use of these resources in the classroom. To generate sufficient funds from individual and business donors to underwrite the cost of classroom copies of the Daily Herald. Financial contribtuions to Daily Herald NIE in excess of $50 can be made payable to the Illinois Press Foundation (IPF) (a 501(c)3 corporation).
